About Me
Hearing the stereotypical comments and remarks in my sophomore year of college really frustrated me. I failed to understand why people stigmatize mental health or conceal the fact that they are seeking therapy. These questions motivated me to study psychology and human behavior in detail. Mental health always intrigued me—its various ailments and their treatments.
I always wondered—if one has a physical problem, if you break your arm, everyone runs over to sign your cast; but if you tell someone that you are feeling depressed or mentally ill, they might run away! Understanding these patterns and the wish to create a positive impact on society motivated me to create awareness about mental health and start my own practise.
